Farmfoods is a privately-owned company specialising in frozen food retail. From small beginnings in 1955 we have expanded to operating more than 300 stores throughout the country, with more in the pipeline.

We are now offering a challenging career for a newly qualified or part qualified (final stages) accountant (ACCA/CIMA) based in our new Yardley office, Birmingham. The appointee will report to Main Board Directors and be responsible both for auditing Distribution/Logistics and Retail operations, and for the full accounting of an associated small property company. There will also be ongoing involvement in ad hoc project work. Full training will be given in all aspects of the Company’s operation.

Our ideal candidate will be an excellent financial accountant with a proven track record. He or she will also:

  • be highly driven;
  • have strong analytical skills, an enquiring mind and have the confidence and ability to use their own initiative;
  • be capable of liaising confidently and credibly with senior stakeholders and operational staff;
  • be able to present both financial and commercial information in a clear and concise manner;
  • have the flexibility and stamina to work enthusiastically within the varied requirements of operational activities whether this be weekend/early morning or evening working.

In return the successful applicant will be rewarded with a starting salary of £25,000 and a fully expensed company car.
