Green Turn & WikiJob

On the 25th of January 2012, financial services training firm Green Turn announced a new affiliation partnership with WikiJob, the Internet’s largest graduate job search community. The deal was concluded in less than 24 hours, after WikiJob made the initial approach to secure a working relationship between the two companies.

WikiJob is based on an ‘open source’ premise, meaning anyone can contribute content, and allows students to communicate with their peers in order to learn more about careers, interviews and employment opportunities. In 2012, WikiJob won the O2 Smarta 100 award for Business of the Year. The awards panel described their decision in the following manner:

“Truly a site built for the 21st century job-seeker, WikiJob is the UK’s largest graduate website with a unique social media element, serving 4.2 million visitors every year. It enables job hunters to connect with each other and with prospective employers.”

WikiJob’s service receives around 300,000 unique users and 2,000,000 page views per month, alongside regular visits from careers advisers and graduate recruiters for the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms, amongst others. With Green Turn’s history of fast-tracking clients to jobs at the top companies, assisted by expert advisors who have previously worked for the Big Four firms, this agreement represents a clear opportunity for Green Turn and WikiJob to combine their expertise and expand their reach into the market.

WikiJob director Edward Mellet had this to say on the announcement:

“WikiJob sought out Green Turn due to their knowledge, experience, accreditations and business links. We believe this partnership will allow us to help even more people achieve jobs at Big Four firms.”

Green Turn offer a variety of services that range from interview practice to counseling candidates on their approach to the application process. They aim to put forward candidates who are as informed as possible so the retention level at Big Four firms stays high.

Alongside recent approaches from daily deal sites such as Groupon (who want to tap into the Big Four Alumni network), the affiliation partnership with WikiJob represents an important development for Green Turn as they seek to raise their international profile and form major business links in the UK
